A native of Philadelphia, Kia Green is an up & coming philanthropist who was born to lead, serve & inspire!  Ms. Green is a proven visionary, community activist, youth advocate and mentor, dedicated to empowering today’s at-risk and underserved youth. With her tenacity, profound dedication and genuine compassion she founded Building Futures Incorporated in 2010.

Ms. Green is a graduate of The Philadelphia High School for Creative & Performing Arts, where she studied Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz & African dance. After high school, she attended Temple University where she obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She currently resides in Southern California, where she received her Master of Nonprofit Management and Leadership degree,  graduating with distinction.

"Growing up in what is currently known as one of the worst inner city neighborhoods in Philadelphia and witnessing gun violence and drug addiction frequently, I noticed at an early age how your environment can greatly impact your future. That thought has always remained on my mind and my love for the youth and their well being has remained in my heart. Through all of life's trials and tribulations, God has continued to bless me by placing the strong passion and desire in my heart to carry on the legacy to serve, encourage and transform the hearts and lives of others. There are numerous children, especially children of color, who are not afforded the opportunities to participate in mentoring programs or have positive role models guide them down the right path. Therefore, it is my profound passion, commitment, duty and life purpose to inspire underserved youth and young adults to become the next generation of leaders.

Building Futures Inc. (BFI) is a charitable 501(c)(3) tax exempt community based non-profit organization, providing mobile self-development programs & mentoring services for those youth & young adults considered "at-risk". Nonprofit organizations are a crucial part of our society, providing help to those in need, education for a lifetime & funds for good causes. Building Futures, Inc. is concerned with the well-being of our youth & young adults. This nonprofit organization was established to significantly change the lives of today’s youth & young adults, by inspiring & empowering them to strive for excellence, realize their full ability & potential to become successful leaders of tomorrow.

"I have dedicated not only my time, but my life to serving others, especially "at-risk" youth of color. It has always been my dream to provide life enrichment programs as a means for advancement to those considered "at-risk". I recognize the success of tomorrow begins with the importance of exposing youth to a multitude of well-accomplished, high spirited, professionals of today, who are also committed to making a positive contribution to society.

With a united purpose, Building Futures Incorporated will build partnerships nationwide and bridge the gap needed to allow underserved youth and the surrounding community with the opportunity to succeed. This organization will act as a catalyst to provide economically disadvantaged residents access to available resources, services and opportunities. Through faith, education, motivation, determination and dedication, anyone can become and remain successful in society today.
